Black clay partially glazed, Paris 2023.
It is after the loss of a good friend and long walks in the Père Lachaise cemetery that I decided to make this group of sculptures.
Inspired by the chrysanthemums of clay on the tombstones of the cemetery, I wanted to work on the different meanings of this flower also represented a lot in the tattoo practice.
In Europe this flower celebrates death as in Asia it is symbol of happiness and longevity.
This is my tribute to Vanessa.
